These terms govern your use of the VIA website and membership service. By using our website or applying for membership, you agree to these terms.

About VIA

VIA (Verified Insured Accountable) is an independent audit service. We check that tradespeople are based where they claim, hold valid insurance, and possess the accreditations they advertise. We do not rate quality of workmanship, guarantee outcomes, or act as an intermediary between tradespeople and customers.

Membership

VIA membership is available to tradespeople who pass our checks. Membership costs £20 per month, billed in advance. There is no minimum term and you may cancel at any time. Membership entitles you to a profile on our website, van stickers, and a digital badge.

Checks

We check information using publicly available data, official registers, and information you provide. We review memberships periodically and may request updated documentation. If we discover that information provided is false or misleading, we reserve the right to revoke membership immediately without refund.

Refunds

If your application is unsuccessful, you will be given the opportunity to provide additional information. If we are unable to complete checks due to circumstances within our control, you will receive a full refund. If checks cannot be completed because you have failed to provide requested information or documentation, no refund will be issued. Once active, monthly payments are non-refundable but you can cancel future billing at any time.

Limitations

VIA confirms locality, insurance, accreditations, and online presence at the time of review. It does not constitute a guarantee of workmanship, conduct, or ongoing compliance. Customers should always obtain multiple quotes and conduct their own due diligence.

Liability

VIA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the actions of checked tradespeople. Our service provides information to assist consumer decision-making but does not replace professional advice or personal judgement.

Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active members of any significant changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
