Common questions
We independently verify your business address to confirm you're genuinely local, not operating from a virtual office or PO box. We check your public liability insurance is valid and in date, verify any trade accreditations against official registers, review your digital footprint including website, social media and reviews for consistency and legitimacy, and confirm your contact details are genuine and active. For limited companies and LLPs, we also check against Companies House. Once verified, we continue to monitor your status and periodically check your details to make sure everything stays accurate.
VIA membership is £20 per month. This covers your initial checks, your VIA profile, van stickers, digital badge, and ongoing maintenance of your profile. There are no hidden fees, no tiers, and no additional charges.
We'll review your application within 7 days, though during busy periods it can take up to 14 days. Once checked, you'll receive your stickers and digital badge shortly after.
We'll let you know exactly what didn't check out and give you the chance to fix it. Think of it like an MOT, if something needs attention, we'll tell you what it is and you can get it sorted. We'll then review again at no extra cost.
Yes. There's no contract or lock in. If you want to cancel, just let us know and your membership will end at the next billing date.
No. VIA is an independant audit, not a directory. Every genuine local tradesperson who passes our checks is welcome regardless of how many others in their trade have joined.
